The changing of the seasons has arrived, the trees are now losing their leaves and the crisp autumn wind is a sign of change.
The farm is quieter now with all the children at school during the week. At the moment I am busy organising our spooky Halloween Fun Day, with Padini the Magician on Sunday the 27th of October.
Also there is big news here at Moher Hill Open Farm with the arrival of our two new female alpacas called Nina and Diane. They are here a week already and it is like they have been on the farm for years. They are coming to the fences and eating from our hands. We are aslo please to report that the pair are settling in very well and making friends with our resident male alpaca, Andy.
We also had a big surprise on Friday morning when one of our Jacob ewes had a baby lamb. This was a real surprise and to everyone’s relief all are well.
I have to go now and feed the hens before night sets in.
